How each piece gets made

The same three stages apply whether it's a tote or a table-sized quilt.

  1. 1

    Choose the fabric

Every piece starts with cotton or canvas chosen for how it will wear, not just how it looks on the bolt.

  2. 2

    Cut and piece

Pattern pieces are cut by hand and sewn on a domestic machine, with any quilting or embroidery worked in as I go.

  3. 3

    Finish and press

Seams are pressed, edges bound or hemmed, and the finished piece checked over before it's wrapped for posting.
